General
Is a Jeevie Facial Mask all I need in my skincare routine?
No, but the only other things you would need are a face wash, a sunscreen, and a moisturizer that work well for your skin type.
How do I know if I am allergic to any ingredients?
Before doing your first facial mask, you should do a brief allergy patch test. Pour out a little powder, make a little paste using water, and spread some on your forearm. Leave it on for a few minutes. If there’s no irritation, you’re good to go.
How many servings does a packet of Jeevie Facial Masks contain?
Each packet has enough powder for at least ten facial masks.
Why use Jeevie Facial Masks over paste-form or sheet masks?
Most water-based or paste-form facial masks must include preservatives to stay fresh and prevent bacteria, mold, or yeast from growing, especially once opened. These products create a moist environment perfect for microbial growth, so companies often rely on preservatives like:
- Parabens (e.g., methylparaben, propylparaben): linked to hormone disruption and found in breast tissue in some studies
- Phenoxyethanol: a common paraben alternative that can irritate skin
- Sodium benzoate & potassium sorbate: mild but can cause sensitivity
- Chlorphenesin and urea derivatives: antimicrobial agents that may release formaldehyde
- Ethylhexylglycerin: used to boost preservative performance, but not always well tolerated by sensitive skin
Since Jeevie facial masks are powders, they don’t contain moisture, so we don’t need to add synthetic preservatives at all. That means no hidden irritants, no shelf-stability chemicals, and no unnecessary additives. Just clean, research-backed ingredients mixed fresh by you for each use.
It also helps that the feel and aroma of our ingredients make for a therapeutic, de-stressing ritual, helping you embrace a lifestyle of natural beauty and relaxation.
What is the shelf life of a packet of Jeevie Facial Masks?
Jeevie Facial Masks expire 3 years after their manufacture date. The expiration date is printed on the packet.
How should I store Jeevie Facial Masks?
Store your packet of Jeevie Facial Masks in any dry place at room temperature.
If you have leftover facial mask paste, don’t leave it sitting out, as this can lead to mold growth.
Discard the extra paste, and try to mix only what you will use. You’ll learn more about your optimal amounts and proportions over time.
Can I get a refund if I have a reaction or a bad experience?
Yes, within 30 days of purchase. Terms and conditions may apply.
Should I rinse my Jeevie Facial Mask off in the sink or shower?
Shower is best. The water flow helps loosen the mask so it rinses off more easily with less rubbing. Removing it at the sink usually takes more rubbing, and more rubbing can cause more irritation. Shower removal is the gentlest option for your skin.
Usage
How long can I leave on a Jeevie facial mask?
You can see results by leaving it on for 15 minutes for each use, but you can leave it on for as long as 25 minutes. If you have a dry skin type, try to stay on the lower end of that range.
Will this clog the shower drain when I wash it off?
Unlike clay masks which may wash off in clumps, Jeevie Facial Masks break down easily in the shower and will not clog the drain.
How often can I use Jeevie facial masks?
Our recommended minimum usage to see results is roughly 2-3 times per week, but our masks can be used everyday.
How do I use Jeevie facial masks?
For one facial mask, scoop out roughly 10 grams (the capacity of your Jeevie scoop) and mix with 3-4 teaspoons of water until you get a spreadable paste. Apply the paste to external areas and keep out of your eyes, nose, and mouth.
After 15-20 minutes, gently wash your facial mask off with water; it’s easiest to wash it off with a shower.
Gently dry your face and use a moisturizer that works well for your skin type.
What sensations can I expect while using the mask?
You can expect the mask to get slightly tighter over the period you leave the paste on your face, but not to an uncomfortable extent.
Significant itching or discomfort during the mask is not normal. In this case, you should wash off the mask immediately. We recommend a patch test on your forearm before use primarily to avoid adverse reactions.
Can I mix my Jeevie facial mask with something other than water?
Though some of our customers have reported effective results from mixing our powder with rose water, milk, or yogurt, our official recommendation is to use water.
If you would like to experiment with the liquid that you mix into the powder for your mask, you should definitely stay away from anything acidic or harsh (e.g. lemon juice) that could irritate your skin.
